July 2-----Fresco Painter             SA111A

The Sistine Chapel has some the most amazing fresco paintings in the world. Come learn about fresco painting, exploring styles from Italy, India and some of the great masters of fresco.

You’ll get to paint onto plaster creating your own fresco master piece to take away.    

July 3-----Intro to Print               SA111B

The technique of relief printing is one of the oldest and simplest forms of print making. Join us for the day and try your hand at printing. You will be amazed at the beauty and simplicity of such a beautiful art form. With our professional artist at hand you’ll have a great time.

FULL WEEK PROGRAMS JULY 6-25 

These programs give Campers a taste of the best of camps through our talented artist instructors, new skills developed, creativity discovered and the experience of being at a great camp.  While campers can come as day students, we strongly encourage the overnight program to get the full benefit of all the programs and the camp experience.  

Week-long Fees Materials Fee $30

Overnight Campers $400

Culmination:
Each one-week session ends with an Open House from 3:30 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. The Open House features the work of both the Multi-Arts and Arts Focus programs.

July 5 – 10--------See the world!             SA112
Observational drawing is the fundamental basis of all visual arts disciplines. Campers will learn to see in a new way, and then draw what they see, experimenting with a variety of media and subject matter to develop great observation and technical skills. Explore contour drawing, light source and shadow shapes, and elements of good composition both inside the studio, and in our gorgeous landscape.

 

July 12 – 17
The Urban Art Project-----SA113A

This is going to be a great week for EVERYONE! This is going to be a week of exploration of urban art, break dance, culture and music. You’ll get to create your own “Positive Graffiti” and learn where this art comes from. You’ll also learn to break dance, lay down lyrics and MC over top tunes. This week is going to be explosively cool!

 

Lights! Camera! Action!---- SA113B

During this fun-filled week, kids become multimedia producers, actors, writers, directors, camera operators, editors and creators of musical scores. Before campers leave with their films, they’ll premiere them for parents and staff. We even help you submit them to the Viewfinders Youth film. Bring your popcorn!

 

July 19-24
Passion Theatre                   SA114

Welcome to Passion Theatre. This workshop is for 11+ campers that really want to advance their acting skills. This workshop will take a more advanced look at improv, movement, Script and neutral mask techniques. This will be tied into the main focus of the workshop which will be a theatrical performance.  You will get to work with amazing professionals and meet new likeminded friends.
