Multi-Arts Program For children ages 5-7

DAY PROGRAM ONLY

This Multi-Arts program challenges children to use their imaginations to explore the world through Visual Art, Music, Creative Movement and Drama.  Each week the program will revolve around a cool theme so children have the opportunity to learn how to work cooperatively and collaborate in the arts.   

INDIVIDUAL DAY SESSIONS 

July 2-----Tales of China              SA571A

Come and explore great Chinese stories and tales through theatre and art. On this great day you’ll learn about some great characters. like the  Donkey of Guizhou. This is going to be a day of cultural exploration, artistic play and fun.  

July 3-----Chinese Kites                SA571B

The kite, a Chinese invention, has been praised as the forerunner of the modern airplane. This is  going to be a day full of colour, cultural exploration and kite flying. Why not join us and learn how to build wonderful Chinese kites?

ONE-WEEK SESSIONS

July 6–11-------Bug Fantastic!              SA572

Calling all bug lovers! We have a workshop full of bugs. You’ll get to explore the best crawling insects! Come see, hear and touch a whole bunch of creepy crawlies. Throughout this fun week we’ll draw, paint and build 3D models of your favourite bugs. You’ll make new friends and have a creepy time.

 

July 13–17------My Dino                        SA573

Through the use of visual art, movement, songs and lots of imagination you will learn about dinosaurs.  You will explore the different sizes and shapes of dinosaurs, build your own dinosaur eggs, explore fossils, sleep, walk, hunt and eat like a dinosaur.
 

July 20–24-----The Indian Express      SA574

Come for the week and learn all about India. During the week you will hear the story of the Tiger, the Brahman and the Jackal and the story of the Broken Pot. You will get to tie dye, paint and take part in one of our Indian stories. You will make your own costumes learn Indian dancing and more.  

Enrolment limited to 20 students per week.
Day Campers  Tuition $250 per week
Materials fee $20 per week 

Culmination: Each one-week session ends with an Open House from 3:30 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.  The Open House features the work of both the Multi-Arts and Arts Focus programs.  Parents and friends are invited to celebrate many of the finished works and works-in-progress that the children have created during the week
