In 2020, Ross Creek and the Halifax Central Library partnered to offer a series of free-to-attend art workshops over six consecutive weeks, beginning in late January and concluding in April. Participants joined weekly virtual meetings with an established artist and enjoyed memorable workshops with custom-tailored kits made available for pickup at Halifax Library locations. Participants corresponded over Zoom, phone, and sometimes mail deliveries to learn together, share progress, and explore their creativity through remote means.
Now, we’re celebrating this program by installing a group exhibition on the first floor of the Halifax Central Library, with works created during the Art & Soul program. The exhibition opens November 17 and we’ll reconvene for a closing reception in the BMO Room at Halifax Central Library between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM on December 8th. More info here.
