Ages 8-11 : explore the world of art and culture

At Ross Creek we provide an amazing art day taught by professional artists and a great camp experience for kids on our 178 acres of field and forest, led by our fabulous counsellors. Whether searching for the Creekster, creating a masterpiece or making new friends, our camps have something for every kid!

For our Intermediate campers, we introduce them to new ways of exploring their creative sides, gaining new skills and having a blast! We still have thematic weeks, and work with kids to help them express themselves in new ways, and gaining new skills along the way!

Kids can come for a whole week or multiple weeks of adventure and art.

If you aren’t sure if your camper is ready for a whole week of overnight camps, we also encourage you to take advantage of our Thursday overnight to give them excitement of overnight camp preparing them for the whole week in the future!

The world of Art

Get ready for a full week of amazing art exploration through drawing, painting, sculpture and more! Drawing inspiration from art from around the world, campers will start to see what they are drawn to and see how to create their own masterpieces! Remember we always take campers to the next level, so if they have taken camp before, they’ll expand and develop their skills!

Fabulous Fashion

It’s incredible to see what campers  create with our designer faculty – more than sewing, this camp will explore the possibilities of textiles in all kinds of forms and fashions, while also looking at how to repurpose and reimagine the world of fashion!

July 15-19

Triple Threat

The show must go on! This camp explores the world of musical theatre and will create new confidence and collaboration skills in campers through an ensemble creation of acting, singing, and movement that puts them centre stage!

Animation Nation

From flipbooks to stop motion, Animation at Ross Creek is awesome! Learn different techniques and create a fabulous film from concept to credits!

Manga Mania

Our fabulous Comic book program is back, with a full week of exploring the way comics are made – from concept to Comic-Con! Campers will work with our incredible professional comic creator to make their own characters, storyboards and completed comics, ending the week with a signing at the Ross Creek Creek Comic-Con!

July 29 – August 02

Maps, Myths, and Mysteries!

We’ll explore the world of maps – with their crazy creatures, perplexing perspectives and roads to nowhere, we’ll follow some treasure maps to explore Ross Creek, and even make our own maps of imaginary places! Campers will create games and stories together to bring our maps to life!

Lights! Camera! Action!

Working together as a team, our film campers will explore the creation of a movie from brilliant idea to final credits. They’ll create the storyboards, make the set and costumes, write the script, and film and act to create a movie masterpiece!

Bursaries and Scholarships

We work hard to offer full and partial bursaries and scholarships to students who need financial aid and COVID has made that more challenging. Limited camp spots and drastically reduced earned revenue means we need some help! If you are in a position to help a child get to camp, we accept tax-deductible donations directly into our R.J. Owen Bursary Fund. We want to keep camps accessible to all and strive to be an inclusive community that empowers financially marginalized families.
You can email us here to support a child from our community and give them the gift of a fabulous summer.

Bursary applications require letters of reference, so please apply early. The deadline for submissions is June 1st for SummerArts financial aid. Bursary decisions are made by a committee and are based on a combination of need and merit. We regret that we cannot give full bursaries to all students, but try to assist as many children and families as we can through the generosity of corporations, businesses, individuals and some schools.

Fillable Bursary applications are available here.

The deadline for submissions March 31 for SummerArts Bursaries.
