Interested in expressing yourself but not sure how?
Do you love the arts? Want to pursue an arts career?
Trying to take your talents to the next level?
Our Teen Academy will get you there!
The Teen Arts Academy provides students 14– 18 years old with an intensive preprofessional experience in the arts to focus on creative thinking and collaboration. You’ll gain new artistic skills and unlock your creativity under the mentorship of our professional artist faculty. You will also learn how to critique, and how to express abstract concepts all in a supportive space.
Each morning, students begin with their chosen discipline (Visual Arts, Theatre, Film, Choreography, Writing, or Music) to work with their peers and their mentor on developing skills and creating a portfolio. Each afternoon, the mentors create multidisciplinary collaborative projects to stretch and challenge the students while encouraging a sense of creative play. Combined with our rec program, the Academies are a place for young artists to find their voice and their community while having a fabulous time!
Spend two-weeks pushing boundaries and having fun with like-minded peers in a retreat setting. You will create your own work in a supportive studio environment, leaving the Academy with a portfolio, audition piece, music demo, or film, along with professional advice to help you think about the next steps in your artistic development. You will also leave with a new community of artist friends! Alumni have gone on to post-secondary art programs and professional work in the arts, including becoming actors in our professional theatre company, Two Planks and a Passion.
The Academy ends with documentation and sharing of original work of all academy students, both collaborative and individual. Our online gallery and films will celebrate many of the finished works and works-in-progress that the academy students have created during the two weeks.
Our arts campus is set in a beautiful landscape — 178 acres of field and forest. The Academy uses the landscape for inspiration, performance, and recreation. Ross Creek offers a cultural library, galleries, and multiple arts studios with natural light and professional equipment.
At Ross Creek, we know how important it is to balance preprofessional training for teens with recreation and fun. With internationally renowned faculty, experienced camp staff, and delicious food all in a gorgeous setting, Ross Creek offers incredible skill development, mentorship, and a supportive camp atmosphere for our teen arts programs.
The Academy is $1,380 +HST for the two weeks – SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
A $20 capital improvement fee is added to Academy registrations.
All program fees include all art materials, meals and accommodation.

For your convenience, you can pay online when you register through:
Please note: while we do accept Credit Cards, we are charged about 3% as a fee. We have decided not to pass that cost on to you, but encourage you to pay via e-transfer to help us cover the costs of providing the best camps for your kids!
We also offer payment plans for families who would like to make camp fit into a monthly budget. We can’t offer an early bird discount on payment plans, and have a small fee ($20) for setting up the plan because it takes administrative time.
