To celebrate our 30th anniversary Ross Creek commissioned 4 local artists to create a design inspired by the centre- and did they ever deliver! This very comfortable t-shirt features the work of Alan Syliboy, originally painted on a 16″ dance drum. A limited number of these designs have been produced and we can’t wait to have these pieces of wearable art out in the world!
About the Artist:
Mi’kmaq artist Alan Syliboy lives on the Millbrook First Nation in Nova Scotia. His work is influenced by Indigenous petroglyph and quill weaving traditions fused with contemporary art practice. He is an honorary board member, faculty and performer at the Ross Creek Centre and his painting of a Puoin (Medicine Man) welcomes visitors to the centre.
