School of ROCK! A Music in Communities Camp

From: $200.00

Youth Music Camp at the Annex!
August 21 – September 1 for a
ges 11-17
Mon-Fri from 12:30 pm – 4:30 each day.

Come to camp prepared to make awesome noise!

Kids ages 11-17 can come to the Ross Creek Annex for a Music in Communities Camp in collaboration with Canning Recreation that will focus on the music you love while also showing you some new cool stuff.

Running in afternoons from 12:30-4:30, the camp goes August 21-September 1. No experience necessary – bring your instrument in you have one, or explore one of the ones here. Young singer-songwriters, musicians, or youth who want to try their hand at music but aren’t sure how – this is the camp for you! Led by our summer jobs team, Freya Milliken, Tyler McDonald and assistants, kids in both weeks will have a chance to try drum kit, electric bass, electric guitar, keyboards, as well as ukuleles, acoustic guitars and songwriting.

The first week will focus more on songwriting and developing material to perform, and the second week will be spent rocking out with the new material. Kids can sign up for either week and are encouraged to come for both, so they can get really polished on their new material, and performance-ready! On the Saturday after camp they will have the option to perform at the Canning Kitchen Party, in the gazebo at Bruce Spicer Park. Register below!
