While all our performances are available to all our community, we know that it can be more complex for newcomers who might not speak wth language or have experience with European theatre, or those who have barriers to attend live theatre.
We are pleased to provide several live performances through out the season where we will provide translations of a play summary into a number of languages, and where we work to ensure your understanding of the play’s action, and ensure your comfort.
We want our theatre to be part of your tradition here and please let us know how we can support you to attend a show at Two Planks.
2026 Relaxed Performances are on the following evenings:

Wind Coming Over the Sea: Sunday July 12, Sunday July 19 at 2 pm.
Please let us know that you would like to attend a relaxed performance here
The Wind Coming Over The Sea is a new folk musical by award-winning Irish-Canadian writer Emma Donaghue (Room, The Wonder), using the traditional songs of Ireland, England and Scotland to tell the true story of an Antrim couple who emigrated to Ontario during the Famine. The Wind Coming Over The Sea recently had its world premiere at the Blyth Festival in Ontario in 2025. You can see more about the play here. The production will be directed by Ken Schwartz and Musical Direction and Arrangement will be by Allen Cole.
The Monkey’s Paw is a new adaptation of the classic W.W. Jacobs short story for the By Fire stage at Ross Creek by Artistic Director Ken Schwartz. A couple are granted three wishes as a result of acquiring a strange artifact- a mummified Monkey’s Paw–but they pay a terrible price for interfering with fate. This fireside production will be directed by Ken Schwartz.
Our 2026 season features an incredible company of creators from across Canada coming together to do what Two Planks does best – create beautiful, memorable theatrical experiences that powerfully reflect who we are and who we want to be!
