Puppetry Festival
October 30-November 1, 2026
This fall, puppetry takes centre stage at Ross Creek! In collaboration with the Atlantic Festival of Puppetry Arts, we’re bringing together puppeteers from across Nova Scotia and beyond for a weekend of performances, workshops, and shared experiences.

On October 31, the Festival heads into the village of Canning for a community parade as part of Hometown Halloween. It’s a chance for local residents and visiting artists to come together, bringing a little extra creativity to the Halloween festivities.

Leading up to the Festival, Ross Creek will also welcome puppetry artists for a week-long residency. This time gives participating artists the chance to work on their own projects, learn from one another, and develop ideas that may find their way into future performances.

We’re looking forward to welcoming artists and audiences to Ross Creek for this year’s Festival. Artists interested in participating in the festival are encouraged to apply to perform at this year’s festival.
